It's the most wonderful time of the year.... Almost.

Yesterday on the radio, callers called in to gripe about the hot weather they were experiencing in Louisiana and in other parts of the country. The dj thought it would be good to remind us that cooler weather is on its way; he played a Christmas carol. And I couldn't help but be reminded that we are heading into my favorite time of year!

Don't get me wrong, it's still 90 degrees and sunny here in Utah. Day after day after day. But hearing that Christmas song got me all excited. From now until the end of the year is my favorite time of year. You know, back to school is in the air, the start of the NFL season and hence knitting, pumpkins, cooler weather, changing leaves, Thanksgiving, holiday shopping and decorating, Christmas and then a brand new year. What good things to look forward to!

Mike, Megan, Pat and Jackie are all coming to visit this fall; a new niece is on her way in September. I have much for which to be thankful and eager.

I couldn't agree more! Love the school supplies, love the fall, and then the holidays are fun enough to forget it's getting cold out. I wish I could somehow stretch fall out and skip Jan-Mar, and maybe even April. Minnesota dead of winter drives me nuts.
